The Imagen Foundation Awards were held last night in Beverly Hills and oh aren’t you kicking yourself that you weren’t there? You might have gotten to stalk Selena Gomez, or at least try to step on her dress. Imaginate! The awards aim to recognize significant contributions of Latinos in the entertainment industry. Which does not explain why Carlos Mencia was among the invitees, but we’ll go with it.

A rundown of all the weiners, after the jump:

La Misma Luna, the Kate del Castillo-helmed tearfest about a Mexican mother and her son, swept the awards winning Best Film, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor and Best Director. Other winners included “Ugly Betty” for Best Prime Time Series and “Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan” for Best Reality Show. Or course. Carlos Mencia won best TV Actor, which makes us seriously question the necessity or standards of these awards. Christina Milian won Best Actress for some shit called”Snowglobe”, “Heroes’” Dania Ramirez won Best Supporting Actress Who Wants To Be Like J-Lo and “Ugly Betty’s” Tony Plana scooped up the award for Best Supporting Actor.

Plana, who is Cuban-American, — and, thus, awesome — also won a Lifetime Achievement Award. His previous work includes Three Amigos and An Officer and a Gentleman. La Misma Luna’s executive producer and screenwriter, Ligiah Villalobos, won the Norman Lear’s Writer Award.
