Ricky Martin’s decision to hire a surrogate to carry his children has some people’s pantaloons all in a twist. Tell us how you really feel, metidos sinvergüenzas:
“Ricky, the truth is that’s it’s bad. I don’t support or applaud him. The Catholic church was even harsher in its criticism. On a visit to Chile, the Honduran cardinal Óscar Andrés Rodríguez, said that in his desire to be a dad, the “Livin’ la vida loca” singer acted as if he was raising cattle.
“What Martin did diminishes the dignity of a human being. You can’t just buy or rent life. It’s even worse when someone famous and in the public eye is doing it,” said the cardinal.

@SingleTonito: I’m pretty sure that the surrogate mother was well compensated for the use of her egg and uterus. In fact I would be willing to bet that she agreed to it so lets not just point fingers soley at Rick. Think before you hand out your custom made-to-order judgements.
This whole things reeks of douchebaggery. If both parties agree and the child ends up in a good home then what exactly is the harm here? Ricky gets his kid so that he can feel like the awesome single mom he has always wanted to be and the surrogate is prolly counting her cash and living well. Happy endings all around.

idk about you but i would rather be poor and have a mom and dad who conceived me naturally.
i would not want to be the child of a (gay/or not) man who bought me , no matter how nice, funny, talented he is.
