Sinaloan School District Fights Violence Against Women By Outlawing Mini-Skirts

In what only can be described as so fucking Mexican, the administration at the Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa has decided to ban mini-skirts as part of a violence prevention program. Director of Studies, Héctor Melesio Cuen Ojeda explained that with such a violent atmosphere existing in Sinaloa—the state spawned the country’s most fearsome drug cartel and is home to a bloody, ongoing battle with neighboring cartels in Tijuana— wearing such short skirts is “an invitation to be attacked or bothered, not only within the university facilities, but also on the outside.” Also discussed was the need to cover tattoos and remove face piercings. Ah, Mexico. Encouraging your shame since 1810.

I’m not sure which side to lean on this one. Being a Mexican myself, and a male, I know what I would say, but don’t think it would be the right thing. So I’m going to just keep my mouth shut on this one, cause I’m probably wrong somehow.

I agree. I know this may sound primative, but lets be realistic. Men are sexually stimulated when they see a nice pair of legs in a mini skirt. We know that a woman wearing a mini skirt is looking to stimulate men. It’s like walking around with a $100 dollar bill hanging out of your back pocket. In a perfect woulrd noone would take it, but in this world you are asking for someone to take it. Things may not seem fair, but that is reality!! if a woman doesn’t want to be botherred, then she should not dress sexy.
