Kacey Montoya is a woman who wears many hats, some of them in the form of g-strings and pasties. She’s a blogger! And a news anchor! Although she currently works with CBS 2 in Palm Springs, Kacey was formerly with Portland’s KOIN 6 - a position which made her a part of a discrimination lawsuit (more about that, after the jump.) Kacey, who was discovered by an agent in New York, (prestigious!) also once worked as an erotic model and porn actress. Not that there’s anything wrong with that! Only it probably helps to keep your name straight:

According to http://www.Fox-Files.com (“An Experience in Erotica”), she’s Kacey Aliece, a “Lustful and Curious Blonde” who “dreams of hosting a tabloid TV show such as Extra.”

Kacey Aliece, according to the website (which sells her photos for $3.95 each), “looks like she loves teasing her viewers with her innocent, but naughty - schoolgirl sex appeal.” Join her “as she mixes it up on the set with her titillating and erotic ensemble of near-nothing g-string and lingerie shots.”

“Kacey Bytheway” is kind of a cute name, in the same vein as hard-hitting journalists like Diane “IForgotToMention” Sawyer. “Kacey Aliece” just sounds like something someone in a Tampa-area mobile home park thought was kind of cute. Oh, and don’t take too much offense at the adamant “so as NOT to appear Hispanic” comment. She really wants to learn Spanish!:

She’s still featured on the subscription-based soft porn site http://www.thesexiestwomenalive.com/ and http://www.purrfectangelz.com where she talks about her turnoffs (“Liars, arrogance, and bad breath”) and her secret (“I’m smarter than I look!”) and her dream (“To be a successful Broadcast Journalist and to speak Spanish fluently.”).

We aspire to eat a burrito later, so good for Kacey. We mean it. Everyone isn’t as supportive as we are, though, and it would appear that Kacey Montoya / Bytheway / Aliece’s experience is often called into question. A lawsuit filed last Tuesday by former KOIN news director Jeff Alan reveals that Portland, Oregon’s KOIN 6 News has some interesting firing and hiring practices, among them the “forcible” hiring of anchor Kacey Montoya. Alan objected to hiring her because her resume included those stints as a former nude model and porn actress, but not too much in the way of actual, like, news reporting:

Alan’s new supervisor, Chris Sehring, told Alan to check out a resume tape from prospective news reporter Kacey Montoya, according to the lawsuit. Sehring told Alan that they “would probably be forced to hire her,” the lawsuit says.

Alan objected to hiring Montoya on two grounds, the lawsuit says. First, he believed she was unqualified. And second, according to the lawsuit, “some quick internet searches” revealed that Montoya appeared “in inappropriate material” under the names Kacey Aliece and Kacey Bytheway.

Kacey is currently a news anchor with CBS 2 in Palm Springs. And good for her! We don’t see why formerly being employed as a sex worker should effect a person’s ability to do something like deliver the news. Especially if their goal is to cover celebrity gossip for “Extra.” Just sayin.’
