The Poors who make up “RBD” have announced that they are splitting up. We’re not afraid to admit a little part of us died after reading this news - the same part of us that ever thought high-heeled Jelly sandals could be kind of cute.

As with all trends and phases, we guess it was inevitable that this band, who rose to fame via their teen novela “Rebelde,” would some day have to come to and end. So, as we bid good-bye to Alfonso, Any, Christian, Christopher, Dulce María and Maite, we realize we’re saying farewell to a chapter in our lives when we would watch the show religiously, mindlessly mouthing the lyrics to the series’ theme song (video after the jump!) and wondering what kind of school would ever allow all their students to be so blatantly and consistently dismissive of its dress code. Ties tucked into shirts? Skirts rolled up about 8 inches above the knee? Knee socks with heels?

God, whatever. We loved RBD. And we don’t care who knows it.
