Singer Belinda Was Robbed, Received Threats

Mexican singer and actress Belinda’s home was robbed recently and now her father has come forward saying she had been receiving telephone threats for a while before the incident. Scarytown:

“Yes, there have been menacing phone calls. This is something we’re looking into,” said Ignacio Peregrín, the father of the 18-year-old to Televisa Espectáculos, adding that he’s asked the authorities to investigate the matter so that his daughter can feel safer about living in her country.

“This country is marvelous, and it would be so difficult to leave it. Belinda has an image to maintain here, and right now it’s important to have faith that people can live securely here,” said Peregrín.

Peregrín concluded that the robbers had every intention of taking Belinda’s most personal affects: “They had very detainled information about the house and where everything was, and they knew exactly where to find things, but I can’t give you any more details,” he said.

Shit, man. This is the second scary-stalky story to come out about Mexican celebrities today. We hope the people who robbed and threatened Belinda are found and their fan club magazine subscription revoked posthaste.
