The Chavos And Chavas Of RBD Deny Being Millionaires

When most stars are placed on “Top ____ Wealthiest” lists, they’re all like “Yeah, so?” while burning piles of money in their crystal bidets. But such is not the case for the members of RBD, who were quick to deny claims posted on an internet forum in which they were described as millionaires:

According to the website, Christopher Uckermann has the least amount of money because he spends a lot. He’s followed by Chávez, who allegedly owns an apartment worth half a million dollars. In fourth place is Poncho Herrera, who supposedly likes luxury cars. Perroni is the third richest, followed by Dulce María. Anahí head up the list, given her RBD earnings as well as the money she gets from commercial promotions and endorsements.

Why the insistence? Because, Latin America being the carousel of laughter and fun that it is, the young stars are worried about being kidnapped and held for ransom:

“This list worried me a lot. When I saw it in the paper, I said: “They’re going to kidnap us or something, but the truth is that it’s a lie,” affirmed Chávez, 24, on the TV show La oreja (Televisa). “Don’t think we’re millionaires. We have a long way to go before we reach that point.”
Perroni, 25, reiterated her concern “You can’t believe everything you read. You have to respect people because in this country, there’s a lot of concern about kidnapping, and these sites are putting us and our families in danger,” said the singer/actress to Notimex.

That’s absolutley frightening. We hope they’ll use their NotMillions to pay for bodyguards. Also horrifying, though? Fan videos:
