Tired Of Hearing About Obama? Too Fucking Bad: “Obama Girl” Releases Yet Another Song

Just in time for you to become completely saturated with news of the Democratic National Convention, “Obama Girl” Amber Lee Ettinger has released a new song. Or plaintive wails set to a beat, whatever. It’s called “Second Time” and your relatives and co-workers are going to be emailing it to you until you pray for death:

Last year Ettinger, a former New York City fashion school student, gyrated her way across the Web lip-syncing “I Got a Crush … On Obama,” which heaped praise on the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee. It also had tongue-in-cheek lyrics such as “you’re into border security/let’s break this border between you and me.”

Cheeky? We guess the definition of cheeky as “that which makes one want to stab one’s own brain through one’s eye with a spork” was one of which we were previously unaware.

The racy video went viral, received more than 9 million hits on YouTube, helped raise Obama’s profile in pop culture and made Ettinger a Web sensation. Cable television network E! put her No. 1 on their list of “Hottest Women on the Web,” and she made an appearance on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” as Obama Girl.

“Most people know me as the Obama Girl, and that’s only part of who I am,” Ettinger said in a statement. “Obama Girl is my character, and it’s both a part and a cause I love dearly, but Amber Lee, the singer, is completely separate,” she said.
