The intro to the tequila-soaked series “Destilando Amor” is super helpful in that it gets right to the core of what makes Mexican telenovelas so incredibly wonderful: Tequila, gratuitous nudity in various fields, excessive use of makeup, slapping cigars out of people’s mouths, and more tequila. Actually, now there’s pretty much no need to watch another novela ever again.
