So, we’re too lazy to do any real journalism on the weekend. (As opposed to during the week?) But Gawker has managed to stay on top of two of the big monster stories from earlier this month. Firstly, there’s no word on the Chupacabra video taped last week by a Texas lawman. So, obvs., like the truth, he’s still out there. Secondly, an independent film production happening in a town on Long Island not called Montauk has retracted their earlier claim of having faked the Montauk Monster craze with a prop. Their movie isn’t even a horror film. Which means Montinaldo, still lives! And the Georgians, not the ones being shot at by Russia, but the ones who claimed last week they were going to reveal proof of the Sasquatch at a Friday press conference in Palo Alto did NOT come through. Details after the jump.

Not bothering to display the alleged Bigfoot corpse they say they’ve kept in a freezer since finding it in Georgia over a month ago, a couple of yokels still received several hundred journalists at a press conference in Palo Alto, CA, yesterday. The liars, a cop on medical leave from the Clayton County Poilce Department and a former corrections officer, instead plugged their website and offered Sasquatch-hunting weekends in Georgia for $499.

Hey, if anyone is buying that, we’ll take you out Sasquatch hunting in the East Village for $400 and ours will end with you throwing up on the floor of the former CBGB’s. Eh? Eh?
