A Bright Idea For Dressing Bare CFL Bulbs
3 September 2008, 1:30 PM. By Daniel Mauser
Since moving in to our new place, we’ve had, like, tons of design and decorating ideas that we’ll never get around to doing. This project, however, seems totally doable and pretty genius. The “Bright Idea Shade” is a kit that allows you to cover harsh, bare bulbs in a way that’s unobtrusive and ends up looking great. Assuming you think plastic popcorn-looking shit is great (we do!). Plus, the general idea and design can be modified to suit your needs and personal aesthetic. Try it today on the bare bulb lighting your secret sex dungeon!
The “Bright Idea Shade” kit is not yet available for retail sale, as far as we could tell, but the materials are easy enough to find at a craft or hardware store and creating your own template for the interlocking pieces shouldn’t be too hard at all.

It actually looks pretty nice! Although I am definitely not going to try and make those pieces on my own. IKEA, start selling this!
Cute! And those little pieces and parts got me hungry for some pan Bimbo.
