





68-year-old Don LaFontaine, called the “King of Voiceovers” died today at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles from complications following a collapsed lung. He is survived by his wife and three children. LaFontaine is famous for his many, many movie trailers, TV show and commercial work and for his funny-ass Geico commercial.
We think he’s best summed up from a quote on this personal site:
“When you die, the voice you hear in heaven is not Don’s. It’s God, trying to sound like Don.”
