Carolina Herrera is a seriously stylish woman who has consistently churned out beautiful, impeccably crafted collections that we will never ever afford. Her Spring 2009 collection is no different: Lots of dresses, lots of florals (including manipulating fabric to resemble blossoms), lots of pretty shit that’s just out of our price range. A closer look at some of our favorite pieces from the collection, after the jump:
This dress is high-drama without looking totally costumey. We love the texture and the shape.
The detailing at the waist is eye-catching and the neckline is a nice way to highlight shoulders without the risk of slippage.
This is going to be our wedding dress. That we will cry in. As we come to the realization that we will die alone. Albeit in a lovely dress!
You can’t go wrong with an impeccably tailored white suit. Unless you’re eating a Sloppy Joe.
Hate ruffles, love yellow. Somehow all the ruffley boberia on this dress manages to work.
This pleated tulip dress is sexy without being too obvious. We love the shape, the pop of color and the fact that it would look pretty awesome on a variety of skin tones.
