Fashion Week: Jaslene Gonzalez Talks Fashion, Chicken Cutlets, And The Subtle Art Of Comedy

Former “America’s Next Top Model” winner Jaslene Gonzalez has the distinction of being one of very few of the show’s contestants to actually model instead of working at a Taco Shack somewhere in Arkansas. She recently chatted with Time Out NY about fashion week and how she totally eats, f’real you guys. On her daily diet:

I have to make sure that I eat since it’s so busy. I try to do a high-protein diet during Fashion Week. For breakfast I’ll have an omelette with ham and cheese, lunch could be a McDonald’s double cheeseburger, and dinner could be rice and beans or some other type of Puerto Rican food.

Translation: I drink champagne and sometimes do a bump off Marc Jacob’s sternum.

On her favorite things about NYC:

I love Butter, Da Silvano and just walking around the city. I even love the graffiti and the garbage.

Translation: I really liked New York Minute.

Concerning titty tips:

[F]or girls like me who are in the itty-bitty-titty committee, I recommend chicken cutlets!

Her interviewer responded with “Whoa. You just suggested we stuff our bras with cold chicken,” which is a little silly since “chicken cutlets” are a pretty well-known term for bra inserts, even outside zee fashion industry.

It’s kind of funny, to us, how models are kind of treated like athletes in a way. It’s one of the few professions where the product you’re selling is, essentially, your body, so it’s a totally acceptable topic of discussion, from what you eat or don’t eat to what sort of items you use to stuff your bra.
