A tube of skin-lightening cream is among several items formerly belonging to Michael Jackson currently for sale on eBay. The items were supposedly taken from Jackson as evidence during his child molestation case. And, now, the personal trinkets of a sad, troubled, shell of a human being can be yours!:
The seller, whose username is ‘vaccaro99’ has put up a starting bid of $25,000 (£14,000) and in the item’s description claims that a former employee of the singer, who authenticated the items, said Jackson, 50, would have cases of the cream to hand.
Of course, there’s no way of telling if Michael Jackson actually used the cream to blend uneven skin discoloration because of a medical condition. Or if Michael Jackson only used it to bleach his asshole. Or if Michael Jackson ever used the cream at all. But why should that stop you from paying upwards of $25,000 dollars for it? Also for sale: A letter on why Jackson was seeking an annulment from Lisa Marie Presley and a “Do Not Disturb” sign featuring the silhouette of a young boy. Creepy? Historically valuable? Intriguing? Kitschy?
Back to the cream. “Eldopaque Forte,” or hydroquinone topical, is described as a skin-lightening cream that decreases the formation of melanin and is used to:
lighten areas of darkened skin such as freckles, age spots, chloasma, and melasma.
But, of course:
Hydroquinone topical may also be used for other purposes not listed in this medication guide.
Such as “transforming into a tabloid punchline and walking nightmare marshmallow-person whose mundane items are sold online for thousands of dollars.” Which, incidentally, is a look that’s going to be huge come Fall.
