Danielle M. McClure, a 20-year-old exotic dancer from Port St. Lucie, Florida, left her two young kids with a babysitter for four days so that she could have alone time with her boyfriend. After dropping her children off with Dawn Marrero, a babysitter she found through Craigslist, Danielle called to say she had been in a car accident and would be unable to pick up her one-year-old son or three-year-old daughter until that Sunday. When she failed to show up, Dawn called the police. Ugh, looks like everyone but the kids are the ones who need babysitters, amiright? Whine, whine. Like, seriously, what’s the worst that could happen?:

Marrero finally called police on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. Police called McClure several times that day, but couldn’t reach her, according to a police report.

When McClure tried to pick up her children later that day, police showed up to question her. McClure reported that she had known Marrero for about two months and had found her as she looked for a baby sitter through Craigslist, the online classifieds site.

McClure was arrested on two counts of child neglect.

Kids, boyfriend. Boyfriend, kids. It’s a pretty easy choice. Boyfriends, after all, don’t complain when you leave them for days in soiled diapers with a Tupperware set full of dog kibble. In fact, they kind of like it.
