NYU’s Latino Studies Department is joining with The Center for The Study of Gender and Sexuality to present a conference on Latinos, sexuality and religion. And, yes, that is a picture of Hugo Chavez and Che making out. You’re very welcome!
Someone had better be serving chocha bread, because that constitutes as a sexy religious Latino experience. There are speakers throughout the day, (topics of discussion include “Transcorporeality in Cuban Lucumi Religion” and “El Lloron/The Weeping Man and Other Rituals of Macho Protest: Reconstructing the Myths of Masculinity among Latino Pentecostal Men”) as well as a reception beginning at 6. And it’s free. So check it out! And, seriously, bring some pan de chocha. No serious discussion, intimate gathering, baptism or bar mitzvah is complete without it.

I think that may be Cesar Chavez, not Hugo Chavez.
