Stormpulse has a beautiful, up-to-the-minute, animated map that lets you track Hurricane Ike’s progress across the Gulf of Mexico. Which will be worthless when the power goes out, so run over and check it now. Last we looked, it appears Ike will be somewhere near the Houston/San Antonio/Austin trifecta around 8pm on Friday. After the jump, an update from a real Houstonian who reports wind and 9/11-was-an-inside-job protestors in the streets!

It’s starting to get pretty windy around here. That hasn’t stopped certain 9-11 protestors, though, who are outside saying 9-11 was an inside job. I felt like telling them that Hurricane Ike is going to feel like an inside job, too, if they don’t hasta la chingada outta here.

Words to live by, Houston.
