Kate Rigg Breaks Down Race, Wins It

Indonesian-Australian comedian Kate Rigg is, for lack of less fan-girlish terminology, totally super fucking awesome. After reading her thoughts on racially-charged language in comedy, we wanted to learn more about her and stumbled upon this little gem from her “Birth of a nAsian” show, where she deals primarily with racial stereotypes, categories and incredibly ridiculous they all seem when you set out to deconstruct them. In this sketch, she plays a mixed race woman explaining to a temp agency why it is that she’s been having problems with her assignments.
