“Project Runway” judge, star of the upcoming series “Running in Heels”, and ousted fashion director for Elle, Nina Garcia, has been named one of the “25 Most Stylish New Yorkers,” by that heralded pillar of taste and style - Us Weekly. Such an honor! Lord knows it’s difficult to appear stylish with designers throwing samples at you left and right. This award should have gone to the insane, old Greek sisters who live above us. No one wears floral muumuus and rollers quite like they do, especially when getting into screaming matches in Greek at four o’clock in the fucking morning after a long day of stealing our mail.

Anyway. The rest of the list, after the jump:

Tyra Banks
Kelly Ripa
John Legend
Project Runway’s Christian Siriano
The Fug Girls
Cassie
Business executive Deborah Marquardt
Designer Patrick Robinson
Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten
DJ Ruckus
Ugly Betty’s Becki Newton
Athlete Sean Avery
Gayle King
The View’s Elisabeth Hasselbeck
Designer Stacey Bendet
Gossip editor Paula Froelich
Stylist June Ambrose
Gossip Girl’s Jessica Szohr
Singer Aubrey O’Day

Pause. No. Because:

Businesswoman Jane Lauder
TV correspondent Tiki Barber
Hairstylist Frederic Fekka
TV journalist Mika Brzezinski
Tommy Hilfiger

Obviously, the staffers at Us Weekly pulled these names out of a fucking Tommy Hilfiger cap someone borrowed from 1998.

Comments

Nina Garcia is one of the most boring people in fashion. When you look at her photos and TV appearances, it’s a total mystery why anyone would consider her fashionable. The long droppy hair (just like every Hollywood starlet) the dull little dresses, the safe “jeans and a sparkly top” outfits.

Nina Garcia has no style whatsoever, never says anything remotely interesting, and should not be hailed as some sort of fashion genius. She’s blah and unoriginal. Even her name is boring: Garcia, the equivalent of Smith in Spanish….yawn!
