Haters keep trying to tell us summer is over, but before we let them drag us off the beach, we’re going to get one more dose of tanning, dammit. And not just any tan! No, because Chinese designer Yu-Chiao Wang has invented the awesome Sun Tattoo, a.k.a. a bathrobe with bits cut out. You put it on, lay out on the beach (or tanning bed) and voilà, the perfect decorative tan-tattoo (tantoo?) that Jersey girls can only dream of.

We’re excited about this trend for multiple reasons. 1. We thrive off mockery. It only makes us stronger, like that super-villain and the bullets fired at him. 2. We will do anything to make the gladiator sandal trend die. If it means covering our body in decorative third degree burns to promote that as the next big thing, we will do it.

Other tantoo options, for when you want something subtler than giant paisley marks all over your body:

Stencils for her! Ice-cream cones, diamonds and anchors add a little something to your shoulder. It screams “I like ice cream!” or “Anchors! Useful!”

Stencils for him! Designed by Barcelona native José Marín Parés. This one is called The Mona Lisa a.k.a “My pecs are art, and I will charge you to touch them.” Hmm. On second thought, steer clear of men using this one…

Of course if you don’t want to shell out the cash for stencils, you can always just smear yourself with sunscreen while blindfolded and call it abstract art.
