Australia seems to be way more fun than where we live, since a recent article reports a case of of unplanned mass-insemination of 30 lesbians by a single man! We would like to respectfully inquire: how does unplanned mass-insemination work, exactly?
Many prospective parents turn to un-official “donations”, since fertility clinics don’t usually take homosexual clients, citing the law that sperm donations should be only for infertile or genetically impaired couples.
So in this case, the 30 lesbians were impregnated by the same man, ostensibly because they were denied access to regulated sperm donation centers. We are really morbidly curious to know how unregulated sperm donations work. Is that polite-speak for “they had sex with him” ? Or are there black-market clinics where women can have the artificial insemination procedure done, with sperm they bought on eBay (or in this case, from the local supply)? However it works, all the kids are now growing up with no idea that most of them are related to each other.
The mothers then organised picnics with all the children, raising the fear they might socialise with their half-siblings without realising they are related.
In a similar case, 29 women in the city of Adelaide, Australia, were also all inseminated by one man, and now the kids are all beginning to reach the delightfully hormonal age of adolescence.
They do not know who their half-siblings are, raising concerns that in a “big country town” like Adelaide, they could accidentally commit incest.
One of the mothers recognized this danger and joined forces with a support-group for mothers like her.
Leonie Hewitt is the mother of one of the children in Adelaide. She is also the spokeswoman for the Sydney-based Donor Conception Support Group of Australia. She says; “There needs to be consistent national legislation, we need to protect people who are conceived through donations whether in straight or homosexual families, we need to protect those children.”
We would also like to recommend, oh, we don’t know, maybe a public list of bachelors? There has to be be more than one willing man in Australia. Divide and conquer ladies, divide and conquer. Genetic diversity is a beautiful thing.

You’d think if the women know each other, that they would have warned that there was a sperminator lurking the premises.
