Everything you never wanted to yet probably already know about Britney Spears will come to light in a 90 minute documentary MTV is making about the troubled entertainer. The documentary will air on November 30th, two days before both Britney’s birthday and the release of her most recent comeback album, Circus. Apt. How many times have we had the “opportunity” to hear Britney’s side of thing by now? How many chances does someone get before we’re all like, “Know what? You had your chance to be famous and mostly undeservedly wealthy. Now, please. Go away. It’s someone else’s turn.” Anyway, about the surely titillating 90-minute advertisement for her latest album:
“So much has gone on over the last couple of years and there’s a lot that people don’t know about me that I want them to know,” Spears told MTV News in a statement about the special. “I wanted to make this film because I started to feel like I wasn’t being seen in the light that I wanted to be seen in. This is an opportunity to set the record straight and talk about what I’ve been through and where I’m headed.”A fascinating look at what fame, drugs and a life without limits or boundaries can do to a person. Surely this is something that has never been looked at before in the history of film! Says Britney, rhetorically:
“I sit there and I look back,” she says, before asking rhetorically: “I’m a smart person, what the hell was I thinking?”
Really? Eh. Really? Watch the trailer for yourself. Preferably with a Red Bull and Vodka and a bag of Cheetos:
Yeah, you go on and cope. We’ll go ahead and figure out how we’re going to manage to pay for both our house AND our food this month. Should be a riot.
