Eva Mendes says she doesn’t like being compared to similarly sculpted and bronzed Latina Jennifer Lopez. Haha! Because Mendes’ career is more serious. Oh… Hm:
“I would like to think I will have a more serious career than J.Lo. We may both be of Latin origin but that’s where the comparisons stop. She manages her career like the head of a big corporation, whereas the only thing I care about is becoming the best actress possible.”
Yeah. We’re still wondering why she didn’t get an Oscar nod for her work in Ghost Rider or this cinematic oeuvre:
We’re waiting for 2 Fast 2 Furious to make it onto the Criterion Collection. We do like, however, that Eva has made a point of making it clear that all Latina actresses are not cut from the same cloth - regardless of how much control they have over the roles they’re offered in Hollywood.
Still… We wonder: If Eva wants to be taken seriously as an actress and deflect comparisons to La Lopez, why does every photo of her seem to show lots of booty and side boob?

Uhm you gotta start somewhere, I mean have you seen all the pictures of Meryl Streep back in the day? It was all side boob and ass.
