First No Snacks Or Pillows, Now No Porn!? A.K.A. Delta Airlines Is Run By Fascists

Delta Airlines was briefly our BFF after its recent announcement that it planned to offer WI-FI on its domestic flights, but now we hate it, because porn won’t be part of the deal. In what world does the internet serve a purpose other than porn? OK sure, email, but after five minute of ignoring emails from your parents/credit cards/ex-boyfriends asking you to please stop drunk-dialing them, what else is there to do? Turn to pornotube, that’s what.

“Blocking will be limited in scope and will be for sites that few, if any, would question are inappropriate to be viewed on an aircraft,” Delta spokesman Kent Landers said Thursday. “Our focus is to achieve a balanced approach.”

We’re angrily anticipating that “nudefirefighterz4U.com” won’t make the cut.

Honestly though, what did they expect to happen? Delta initially had the blithe notion that any indiscretion could be handled by flight attendants.

Delta said its flight attendants would handle situations on a case-by-case basis if passengers were viewing pornography in-flight.

“Um sir, if you could just…desist…in your viewage of Assbandits: Miami edition…that’d be great.” Yeah, way too awkward to be feasible. Staff would’ve just ended up swatting porn-watchers with rolled up airplane blankets.

One journalist raised a good point, namely that for 99% of the population, shame would probably stop them from going to porn sites. Have you been on a plane lately? Shit is cramped. You inevitably end up snuggling with everyone around you, so it’s not feasible to find any kind of privacy in which to view porn. OK maybe if you get a tiny phone that has internet on it and then hold it real close to your face…but then by that point it’s obvious what you’re doing.
