First Peek At Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland Makes Our Borogoves All Mimsy

OMG OMG OMG!!!! The first pictures from the set of Tim Burton’s adaption of Alice in Wonderland are out and IT IS SO HARD NOT TO WRITE THIS ENTIRE POST ALL IN CAPS. Not a whole lot is known about the film and its cast, except that Alice is played by an Australian actress, Mia Wasikowska, and the Mad Hatter is played by Johnny Depp making this probably like the fourth time we’ve ever been inclined to doodle “Mrs. Mad Hatter” in a notebook. There are also rumors that “Little Britain” star Matt Lucas will play Tweedles Dee and Dum.
The first thing one notices is that Alice is a quite a bit older in these pictures than her literary counterpart. And that Tim Burton’s newborn daughter has a role!
Check out a picture of Baby Burton, her mom Helena Bonham Carter, and of the film’s “Alice,” all after the jump:

um, alice is like 80.
Alice is older than in the book and Ichabod Crane was a good deal less than rail thin in Tim Burton’s Sleepy Hollow.
Yah don’t see me complaining!
Now, if I could just get a look of Johnny in his new, mad, hat.
