I speak Spanish just fine and am not too concerned that I am not up on the latest, cutting edge Mexican slang. No matter how many times I go there I won't be Mexican. No matter how many tacos and guaraches I eat, it won't tranform me into anything other than what I am. An American who has roots in Latin America but is NOT Mexican. Mexican-Americans need to stop enabling and empowering Mexicans to look down on us. Que se jodan! Yo no necesito ni que me acepten ni que me quieran. Lo unico que me interesa es recibir buen trato como cualquier otro turista. Lo demas me tiene sin cuidado.
