What’s with all these gloomy facts, numbers, and shit. Who cares? I’d vote for Biden because he seems to be the most informed and experienced while I’d also vote for Palin because I’d love to bone her. Which in my book is how VP nominees should be gauged.

“In addition to making the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts permanent, McCain says he would double the exemption for dependents, lower the corporate tax rate, make expensing rules more generous for small businesses and lessen the bite of the estate tax and Alternative Minimum tax.

The net result: compared with their tax bill today, taxpayers on average would see their tax bill cut by nearly $1,200. That means their after-tax income would rise by 2%.

But those in the lowest income groups would only see their after-tax income rise by less than 1% (or between $19 and $319). By contrast, the highest-income households - those with incomes of at least $603,000 - would see a boost in after-tax income of 3.4%, or more than $40,000.”

Sorry for the long quote but who has a plan that works better for those of us who aren’t wealthy? Neither do great things for deficit but one clearly is aimed towards helping out the average citizen more.

As for the gay rights thing, Obama will defend rights for gays. Mccain and his sidekick never would, and this faggot likes having civil rights.

Supreme Court seats are life appointments. What are the odds?

A tax-cut from B-boy for us 95% would make it virtually impossible to not only get us out of our current defecit (+850 billion as of today), but to fund all the new governement programs he wants to implement in addition to doubling our financial “global” support for all those great countries who hate us. Government? Not so good at math, in case you haven’t noticed.

If you watched the debate last night you’d know they’re both against same-sex marriage, yet pro-contracts/agreements/blah, blah. Face it. The gay community loses either way.

Both LaLa and Jonathan make very good points, cheers! However why would anyone vote republican is beyond me. 95% of us won’t ever make the kind of money that would make republican policy good for you. This president will be appointing seats in the supreme court, which definitely could have an impact on Roe/Wade. Along those same lines, I for one, would be very concerned about same sex rights going down the toilet. The democratic party isn’t all roses and giggles but they haven’t strayed as far from working for the public as republicans have really. What republican officials lack in compassion they make up for in rampant greed, corruption and hypocrisy.
Seriously, would you actually want McCain taking the reins of this country? And if he doesn’t make it through his term, would you feel comfortable knowing that Palin would take over? How scary is that? Isn’t it about time that our citizens received leaders in office that actually might care about us?

@LaLa Abortion is something that we agree on. I don’t believe that the government should tell you what you can and can’t do with one’s body be it abortion or something as minor as wearing a motorcycle helmet. The truth is that in her role as VP, she wouldn’t have the power to overthrow Roe v Wade if she slapped a pair of antlers on all of Congress and shot them from 100 yards out of the side of a Cessna.

In regards to her attendance, she worked from her house and was pregnant during part of that time as well. Would you move your 5 kids to another city if you didn’t absolutely have to? If I’m given the opportunity to work from home does that mean I’m not working? Hardly. She reduced the expenses of her predecessors saving state dollars by eliminating many of the unecessary expenses that were being made by those who came before her. How does someone acheive a 90% approval rating without doing their job? Even now as she campaigns she still has a 78% approval rating which is better than the President and Congress COMBINED. Our other friends in this discussion are “stealing” from us as well:

Barack Obama missed 306 (24%) of 1287 votes since Jan 6, 2005.

Joseph Biden missed 391 (10%) of 4105 votes since Feb 4, 1993.
