Skinheads Daniel Cowart And Paul Schlesselman Arrested By ATF In Obama Assassination Attempt

Two young Neo-Nazis, Daniel Cowart, 20 of Bells, Tennessee (left) and Paul Schlesselman, 18 of Helena-West Helena, Arkansas have been arrested for allegedly plotting a national killing spree during which they planned to murder 88 African Americans including Barack Obama. Cowart and Schlesselman, who met about a month ago on the internet and became friends through a mutual hatred of other races, planned to behead 14 of their 88 victims because of two separate phrases respectively called “The Fourteen Words” which, according to Wikipedia, are attributed to imprisoned white supremacist David Lane who said, “We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children” and, “Because the beauty of the White Aryan woman must not perish from the earth.” The number 88 is also a neo-Nazi symbol that stands for “Heil Hitler” because H is the 8th letter of the alphabet and two consecutive H’s are code for the Nazi cry.
The spree, which initially targeted an unidentified predominantly African-American school, was to end with the two men driving toward Obama, “shooting at him from the windows,” the court documents show.
Sounds like a well thought out plan.
“Both individuals stated they would dress in all white tuxedos and wear top hats during the assassination attempt,” the court complaint states. “Both individuals further stated they knew they would and were willing to die during this attempt.”
Sheriffs’ deputies in Crockett County, Tenn. first arrested the two suspects on October 22 after they wrote “numerous racially motivated words and symbols,” including a swastika, on the exterior of Cowart’s automobile with chalk. Numerous firearms were found on them during their arrest which lead the Sheriff’s department to turn the men over to federal authorities. They were charged Monday with possession of an unregistered firearm, conspiring to steal firearms from a federally licensed gun dealer and threatening a candidate for president according to documents unsealed in U.S. District Court in Jackson, Tenn. The two men, interviewed separately, confessed their entire plot to ATF agents. They are being held without bond. Images from Cowart’s MySpace page are below.
