A wedding banquet in Beijing was ruined when someone accidentally added rust-remover to the feast instead of salt. All 170 guests that ate the food became violently ill and had to be rushed to the hospital. Talk about one for the scrapbook!

All food was stewed in a big pot but after dinner started, all of them felt the taste was too bland, Someone added what he or she thought was salt — several times. An hour later, the guests were being rushed to hospital. “When I arrived at the hospital, the observation room was packed with people vomiting, with stomach pains and with diarrhea,” a doctor was quoted as saying.

Happily, everyone recovered and the guests were able to leave the hospital the following day.

We kind of hated the movie, but this incident really reminds us of Como Agua Para Chocolate, when she cries into the wedding cake and everyone…well, watch:

Best way to revenge yourself on an unfaithful lover, ever. Although we’d probably just put straight up razor blades in the punch. Ha! Don’t quote us on that.

At least they weren’t hungry an hour later.
