The funniest thing about the new Chevy Traverse television commercials that feature a hot, shirtless guy ironing and making dinner reservations to illustrate the tagline “Everything you’ve ever wished for” is the overwhelming bewilderment from people across the internet who claim not to get the idea or even better, those who say it’s a huge risk. Please. Sexy women have been draped across cars since the invention of cars. It’s about time the roles were reversed. Plus what Latin person doesn’t love a Chevy? We can’t get behind the raining shoes execution, though. In addition to being a dangerous hypothetical scenario, women loving shoes is about the most tired cliche in the book. Watch both ads after the jump.

Ironing with exposed skin is dangerous. I have the burn marks to prove it.

Now that’s my kind of car ad. The shirtless guy. Not the shoes.
