Video: Meet Amy Strozzi, Sarah Palin’s Emmy Award Nominated Makeup Artist
24 October 2008, 3:45 PM. By Alex Alvarez
Before John McCain tapped Sarah Palin as his running mate, she was content to dip her face in a hot vat of Wet ‘n Wild Ultimate Minerals Powder Foundation. But now she has her own personal makeup artist! Before working with Governor Palin, Amy Strozzi was nominated for an Emmy for her work on “So You Think You Can Dance.” Sounds about right:
Strozzi was paid $13,200 by the McCain-Palin campaign last month alone, according to the campaign’s latest financial disclosure report filed this week.
That’s $4,527.45 more than McCain’s make-up artist made last month.
To be fair, that’s because pitbulls tend to hump your leg when you try to apply lipstick. In ever-shadier news, Strozzi, whose name is misspelled as “Ami” in financial reports, is described by the campaign as having done “communications consulting.” As in, “communicating things to people via makeup on your face,” we suppose. You’d think the tattoo’d lipliner would have saved a ton.
If you’re interested in seeing what someone who does Sarah Palin’s makeup might look like, Amy appears at the end of this video:
We wonder how much Rudy Giuliani spends on makeup…

I saw your post about Sarah Palin’s high paid makeup artist. But not sure if you also saw that she had another makeup artist, Tracy Thorp reported in the RNC filings, who has a tax lien of $145,718 (hey, just like Joe “The Plumber”!). What’s with these guys? One thing to not want higher taxes - quite another not to pay them at all.
This was posted yesterday on Martin Eisenstadt’s blog:

BTW, this was the same guy who leaked much of the story about Joe “The Plumber”, and there’s now a BBC documentary series about him on YouTube:

Can someone just tell me what line of makeup was used on Sarah? Most interested in her color and brand of lipstick.
