David Cordova Cholobama Art Now In High Resolution
4 November 2008, 10:30 AM. By Guanabee Staff

We got in touch with David Cordova, the artist who created that Barack Obama as cholo poster and got him to send us a higher resolution image of his very chingon work. Cordova told one blogger he created the artwork as a way to convince Latinos to vote for his favorite candidate. When a commenter on Gawker yesterday asked why a poster meant for Hispanics has English on it, we were all, pshhh. That kind of shit’s exactly why we need some change around here. So download the image after the jump and add it to your Facebook page or something to start a dialogue with your well-meaning but clueless liberal, white friends. ¡Si se puede!

To be honest… This poster is a sore eye.
And damn, choose whether you’re going to write in English or Spanish, you dumb fuck! ‘Latinos’, the smart lot, will know how to read English, so there is no use in you publicly humiliating yourself writing cruddy Spanish. :\
As usual, debbie downers post “Anon.” I think this poster is gorgeous. And I’m Mexican-American so I read in Spanglish.
not an eye sore but no Virgin of the Barricades (http://upsidedownworld.org/main/images/stories/May08/virgen_de_las_barricadas2_preview.jpg), either.
@Evan: Actually, Anon said, “sore eye.” Talk about publicly humiliating yourself with cruddy writing.
The only problem I have with this poster is the damn accent where it shouldn’t go. Other than that, I think it’s not a “sore eye!”
