Oh, The Glamour: DeVry University Will Sponsor Latin Grammy After-Party Gift Bags

The Latin Grammys are about to get super, pero like, duper posh. DeVry University, a division of DeVry Inc, is set to sponsor the awards show’s after-party gift bags. A free business administration degree in every bag? Yes, please:
DeVry University is the first organization of higher education to support the Latin GRAMMY After-Party Gift Bag. “We are extremely proud to be associated with an event that recognizes such amazing talent on a global scale,” said Melanie Wright, East Region Public Relations Manager for DeVry, and coordinator of the university’s participation in the event.
And they’re doing it all for the Technicolor Dream Latinos:
The effort is part of the university’s “commitment to our large percentage of Hispanic students to make a college education accessible and possible,” said David J. Pauldine, president of DeVry University. “Students of color make up approximately 50 percent of the student population at DeVry University nationwide,” says Pauldine. “From Miami to Los Angeles, Houston to New York, DeVry University remains committed to serving the Latino population by familiarizing ourselves with the unique needs of this population and embracing the talent among Latinos enrolled at DeVry.”
We joke, because we’re elitist and we have that luxury, but, truly, we think its great that DeVry hopes to honor and acknowledge Latinos pursuing higher education by contributing to an awards show aimed at celebrating people who sing and pose and wear $7,000 dresses. Does each gift bag come with a complimentary computer, bus pass, supportive family, job opportunities and hope for the future? No, just moisturizer and Spanx? Ah, ok. Sexy.
