Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem might be adding a secret break-up to their secret relationship that everyone knows about. The two are reportedly going through a rough patch as a result of “distance” and “work” - an excuse that is being blamed entirely on Mexican director Alejandro González Iñárritu. González Iñárritu created a movie specifically for Javier, thus forcing him to leave his “sabbatical” with Penelope in order to work on something that will earn him lots of money and acclaim.

Javier had previously bowed out of movies Nine and the Francis Ford Coppola-helmed Tetra in order to spend more time with Penelope. But now that plan is ruined. Surely she can never visit him on set or Skype him at Narizón69. Why is love so hard?!
