I think all of the anti-choice propositions were defeated. We’re a pro-choice, anti-gay country.

The fetuses and the gays never get a break.

Me and my boyfriend of 3 years were married in CA 2 weeks ago. It was nice while it lasted but they can never take that marriage certificate that hangs in my home away from me! I’m thrilled Obama got in but I’m pretty sad as well. All this time I’ve told friends that we as gay citizens are not 2nd clas citizens. Then I wake up to find that my fellow citizens think otherwise. Frustrated and tired is pretty accurate as to how it feels.
I will not get emotional at my desk!

Fredo!!! Congrats on your marriage, regardless of who chooses to determine what that word means. Guanabee loves you and is happy for you and your husband. He’s a lucky one.

Again, these aren’t tears… We have something in both eyes. Ahem.

God. Fredo. hug

According to the AP California voters have just approved Prop 8. I am appalled and deeply sadden. Although early polls showed Prop 8 trailing by as much as 17 points, the Yes on Prop 8 camp ran a campaign that confused voters and often outright lied to us. This proposition was never about anything else other than banning gay marriage and had nothing to do with “teaching kids about the the gay life style in schools.” In fact, California law prohibits that children from be taught anything about health and family issues at school that conflicts with the parent’s religious beliefs or moral convictions.
Personally, I have friends and family who really didn’t think this would pass in “California”.
No on 8 brought out something like 10,000 volunteers just on election day to make one last effort to inform voters. I have met so many cool, strong, intelligent, people and I really do believe we will remain as committed as we have been until we have equal rights for all.

¡Felicidades Fredo!
