What’s Even More Important Than Electing Obama? Electing His Dog, Duh

So you thought you were finally done freaking out over election decisions? You were WRONG. Now that Obama is headed for the White House his family has a huge decision to make: What kind of dog to get, and where to get it. One website we found gives you the power to speak out on this crucial issue, letting you vote between “Purebred” and “Rescue.” As for the family’s opinion, Madame Obama has been quoted as saying they were planning on adopting a stray, but others point to little Malia’s allergies, which mean their dog will have to be a specifically hypoallergenic breed. Obama himself has piped up on the issue, as we noted before, jokingly suggesting they choose a mutt since he could relate to the feeling. The voting website and pics of potential breeds, after the jump.
So far the website, http://www.electobamasdog.com/ shows that 80% of voters prefer an adopted dog. Of course, the choice is somewhat misleading because there’s no reason purebred dogs wouldn’t be given up for adoption, hence the choice should be “breeder-bought” or “rescue.” In any case, the other big question here is which breed will suit the new presidential family best? A few possibilities:
The Favorite: A Goldendoodle Hypoallergenic and trendy, the goldendoodle is what most people expect the Obamas to choose.
The Fancy Choice: A Portugese Water-Dog A favorite of the rich and powerful, the Portuguese water dog would be a less populist choice but a fine lawn ornament. Props for trimming its fur into peace-sign shapes etc.
The Unlikely One: A Pitbull. Ha, sorry, we had to. As savvy Guanabee commentator Latin Princess already noted, a pitbull would be a hilarious yet wildly inappropriate choice.
Which dog would you wish/curse upon the Obamas?

He should get two vicious rottweilers and chain them up like in a DMX video.
There is no such thing as a hypoalergenic dog, only ones that shed less. Maybe a hairless?
I think he should get a rescue dog. So maybe he can like rescue things?
I recommend the purebred. The flaws caused by years of inbreeding are far outweighed by a glorious lineage.
I got my nieces a “less shedding” dog from a shelter. It was was a poodle mixed with something else - maybe warthog?? It’s ugly but doesn’t shed and doesn’t make their allergies go crazy.
Thanks for the shout-out, C-Ro!
does it really matter?
