A Valley Stream mall Walmart employee died today following a massive stampede by customers attempting to take advantage of Black Friday sales. Shoppers broke through the store’s doors, knocking the 34-year-old man to the ground and trampling him as they raced through. He was taken to the hospital at 5:03 am and pronounced dead at 6:03. Which means people were actually lined up to buy discounted toasters and ornamental bird baths at 5 in the fucking morning:

As of Friday morning the cause of death was described as “undetermined,” police said. An exact cause of death will be determined by the county medical examiner’s office, police said. The man’s name was not immediately made public by the police, and the store was closed.

Four Walmart shoppers who were injured during the scuffle were taken to nearby hospitals, including a 28-year-old pregnant woman.
