American Women Prefer Internet To Sex, Intel Study Claims. Take Our Poll And Speak For Yourself!

Some crazyfuck scientists from Intel did a study asking how much people rely on the internet, and they claim that American women are willing to give up sex before they’d give up the internet. Of the 2,119 adults of different ages who participated in the study, 46% of the women and 30% of the men chose giving up sex for two weeks, rather than giving up their internet access. Surprisingly to us, men and women responded inversely, with younger women becoming more likely to take internet over sex as they aged, while men became more likely to prefer sex as they grew older. Which just paints a whole confusing picture of sex-starved 20 year old ladies chasing after 20 year old guys who are going, “C’mon babe not tonight, I gotta check my email.” Is this really happening?

What could possibly be so fascinating and important on the web that would make nearly half of American women of all ages say “no thanks” to sex?

Well, for our part, we start shivering and bleeding from our gums when we’re away from the internet for more than a few hours, but that’s called an addiction and we’re really, really working on it. But is this trend more widespread than anyone imagines? We suspect foul play. We think that when the question was posed, people assumed that “no internet” meant not even at work, and obviously most people would give up sex for two weeks rather than get fired because they couldn’t access their work email. How many employers would indulge you if you asked them to “go old school” with hand-written memos and faxes for a couple of weeks? So what if the question was changed to; “Non work-related Internet” ? Would women still choose surfing Shopbop and Guanabee over getting it on? We’d be flattered, but concerned - no amount of licking the screen to try and get at Diego Luna is going to make up for real, human contact. Trust us.

I know some “sex camels” that have gone for years without sex and somehow live to tell the tale. Which makes me wonder if Intel included masturbating in their survey.

I also suspect fowl play there. la roncha and Mickaela have very good points that should be considered in such a survey/research. If it means we’ll be getting sex as much as we use the Internet, then I think everyone would give up the Internet. But the reality is that most people don’t even have that much sex due to all the distractions they have around them, such as the Internet and children.

I prefer my hubby to the Internet anyday kthx.
