Barf: Embedding Things In Your Own Skin Is The New Teen Disorder
3 December 2008, 11:15 AM. By Anastasia Hinojosa
Radiologists in Columubus, Ohio believe they’ve discovered a new disorder in which teens purposely embed objects inside their own flesh. As pictured here, a teenage girl straightened a paper clip and embedded it in her arm. The discovery came from Nationwide Children’s Hospital where doctors were researching ways to extract items accidentally embedded in the skin. When lo and behold, doctors found out the various objects they were extracting such as needles, staples, wood, stone, glass, pencil lead and crayon were inserted intentionally in at least ten cases.
One patient had inserted 11 objects, including an unfolded metal paper clip more than 6 inches long.
You know, you just name a crazy and there’s someone out there willing to do it. The hospital set up a national registry to track incidents and put research in motion.

Where does crazy leave off and bodymod start up? There are people (myself included) with stuff embedded in their skin on purpose. They pay other people large amounts of money to use sterile instruments to insert biologically inert things into their skin with the intention of keeping them there. I myself have one of these..
@Quintana - too cool. Any particular reason?
I think if you implant shit in your skin for the sole purpose of “feeling something” you might have a mental disorder.
Wow SOooooooooo Awesome.
totally gonna Do That.
