The character was developed by the London ad agency “Mother” as a viral marketing campaign for… For awesome. The agency put up 14 mini ads for Chris Christmas Rodriguez’s battle against St. Nick.
2000 was a time when we didn’t know or care what “viral marketing” was and probably thought it was some form of mono, so we’re glad we finally get to see what it would be like if one of our Latino uncles from 1976 decided to take over Christmas.
