A man in Vero Beach, Florida has been arrested after beating his girlfriend with a cheeseburger. Vincent Gonzales was eating with his girlfriend in her car when the two began arguing, which resulted in his girlfriend dumping his icy cool beverage out the car window. Gonzales responded by hitting his girlfriend about the face with his cheeseburger, then pulled her from the car and hit her with the sandwich a few more times.

Police have charged him with assault and battery. (We were trying to come up with a pun for “a salt” but then remembered what “shame” was.)

Now, it’s definitely not nice to hit people about the face with anything unless both parties involved have signed a release and can expect to be reimbursed handsomely for their efforts. The fact that he dragged her from the car to hit sounds pretty horrible and he definitely needs to learn that this isn’t an acceptable to way to deal with a problem (even a problem so grave as having someone dump your rich, delicious strawberry milkshake out a car window). But how does one “hit with a cheeseburger?” Wouldn’t all the fillings fall out? This is exactly why our mother forbade us from ever eating in the car or dating men from Vero Beach.
