I found Irete's book in the local library and I'm so glad that I did. I don't think you need to be latina to enjoy the writings in this book. It touches on to me what it means to essentially be a woman, no matter what your color or background. It made me laugh out loud at times and also share "Gabi's" emotions right along with her. It was truly a fantastic read. I so look forward to more of Ms. Lazo's work in the future. I WISH I could've met her in person. I'm facinated with her.
