Suspected crime boss and drug lord Diego “My Name Is Not Inigo” Montoya has been extradited to the United States. Montoya , who appeared on the FBI’s ten most wanted list along with Osama bin Laden, is described as having toppled the infamous Cali cartel with his own so-called Norte del Valle cartel.

On Monday, Montoya will be a indicted by a federal court in Miami on 12 charges, including drug trafficking and murder. His cartel is responsible for over 70% of cocaine exports to the United States and Europe. We’d feel really sorry for striped-shirted ibankers right now if we didn’t know they could no longer afford to buy coke anyway.

National police chief Oscar Naranjo exuberantly announced that:

“This extradition means the end of the Norte del Valle cartel. All of its major leaders have been caught or killed.”

And, fun fact: The Norte del Valle cartel will forever hold a place in the annals of pop culture history for inspiring the top-rated telenovela “Cartel de los Sapos.”
