Linda Sue Sainz Found Half-Alive In Her Texas Home, Eaten By Maggots
2 December 2008, 4:30 PM. By Alex Alvarez
A 62-year-old Linda Sue Sainz of Texas City, Texas was found alone in her home, clinging to life while slowly being consumed by maggots. Oh, is she a blogger, perchance? Police entered the woman’s home after receiving a call from a man claiming to be her son. The caller told authorities that his mother was suffering from bedsores and needed medical help. He informed them that the back door to her home would be unlocked, then promptly hung up.
Her house is being described as having been in “deplorable conditions,” replete with multiple cats and the pungent scent of a decaying body. The officer who found her body admits that, at first, he thought he was looking at a corpse and only later realized the woman was still alive:
The officer then saw what he first thought was a dead woman on the living room floor. Goetschius said that the officer then saw the woman blink.
“She was teetering on the brink of death,” Goetschius told The Daily News in Galveston.
Sainz is currently undergoing medical care and her case is being investigated by the Adult Protective Services. The man who made the 911 call for help has yet to be located or identified.
The moral of the story? Cats will never learn to dial 911 for you. Only dogs. And your offspring. Sometimes.

Upon reading this story, I immediately thought about Alex and her future.
Oyeme. If I get eaten by anything furry, it had better be by Diego Luna wearing his silly mustache.
as long as it doesn’t happen to fredo, we’re fine

you’ve got a stalker!
Cat ladies often die from loneliness or from being consumed by maggots—those are the breaks of being a cat lady.
Gaaaah! Anyone else reminded of the “Sloth” scene in the movie “Se7en”?
I like how her other kids never came to see her while they lived their own lives while their mom rotted. So sad.
