  • Jennifer Aniston’s flapjacks get adorned with a phallic symbol on the cover of GQ. And you thought it couldn’t get any classier than dating John Mayer. [omg]
  • Is 16-year-old Disney star Demi Lovato a cutter? We’re hoping for her sake that this is just an unfortunate snap bracelet mishap. [Perez Hilton]
  • Tom Cruise has been nominated for a Golden Globe for his cameo in Tropic Thunder. We can’t wait until we can care enough about this to become enraged. [dlisted]

  • Gwyneth Paltrow is trying to make her marriage to Coldplay’s Chris Martin work for some reason that’s completely beyond us. [NY Daily News]
  • A woman died after drinking too much water as part of her weight-loss diet. [Daily Mail]

Jennifer Aniston is a sinking ship. This cover is a shameless transparent ploy to stay in the publics eye (nice squirrel pose BTW).

    Hey Guanabees–

You guys are way off base. TROPIC THUNDER was pretty hilarious, and Tom Cruise gave an impressive, and completely loose-footed, performance. Did you guys watch the film, or are you talking out of your asses again?

Yeah, Guanabee. Don’t you see how a short cameo role is just as equal to, say, Philip Seymour Hoffman’s difficult yet perfectly executed and poignant “supporting” role in Doubt ???

@urban latino: Are you serious?? Let me guess, you also pay money to see all the Will Farrell movies too.

DOUBT? Are you kidding me? That snoozer of a film that will never even reach sleeper status? Next thing I know, you’ll be spouting off about the merits of THE READER. Philip Seymour Hoffman is always good, but the films he sometimes finds himself in are not (SYNECDOCHE, NEW YORK anyone?)

And I can’t see how any Will Farrell movie can be compared to TROPIC THUNDER, which is smart, sharp, and funny. The fact that the two were compared makes me realize that I’m completely wasting my time in even bothering to put forth an argument. Ignorance abounds like the flowers in the fields.

@Urban Latino: I don’t believe anyone at Guanabee said anything about how funny or stupid TROPIC THUNDER is (at least not in this post). So we don’t care that Tom Cruise was nominated for a Golden Globe. I personally don’t watch the Golden Globes anyway.

I’ve never seen TROPIC THUNDER but I heard from my sisters that it was very hilarious. And, no, Will Ferrell films tend to not compare well to classic comedies of any kind. I’ve found that Will Ferrell films are an acquired taste.

TROPIC THUNDER was a run-of-the-mill Ben Stiller comedy. No better and no worse than what he has put out before. The fact that you felt compelled to be condescending and self-righeous, over a Ben Stiller comedy, does indeed show that ignorance abounds.

Let Cruise have all the Golden Globes and Teen Choice Awards he wants. He’ll never win an Oscar, unless he ever decides to play a serial killing lesbian in Florida, a blind piano player or a sex object of Billy Bob Thornton or something of that nature.

@urban latino: seriously, you’re acting like you have a share in tom cruise’s money. unless he’s giving you money, you’re the one who seems ignorant for defending such a jackass who probably has no idea you exist.

you’re no different than the teenage girls who come on here crying about david archuleta.

    *Sigh*
I’m not defending Tom Cruise, numbnuts (I’m sorry, I mean numb-tits). I’m merely saying that of all the comedies to come out this year, TROPIC THUNDER was one of the more interesting (three words: Robert Downey Jr.). It’s about sense versus nonsense, and I hear plenty of the latter whenever I haunt the Net. It’s a low down dirty shame.

She does not look like this. Photoshopped, airbrushed, laden with makeup - this bitch has a scrawny gaunt face. I never knew why she was made to be so hot.
