Will AOL Latinos Pick Patrick Swayze Over Barack Obama For Personality Of The Year?

In their bid to let readers pick AOL Latino’s, Personality Of the Year, editors at the Spanish-language media mothership have culled a list of five people from the ten AOL Latino Personalities Of The Month chosen throughout 2008: Barack Obama, Sarah Palin, Patrick Swayze, Thalia and Juanes. The five names were chosen based on popularity of the stories during the year–which surprised even the editorial staff, Director of AOL Latino Miguel Ferrrer told us. (Thalia won Personality of the Month twice–why?) Results so far have Barack way ahead with 52% of the vote, thank God. The way we see it, this survey has a 3 in 5 chance of making Latinos look really out of touch and a one in five chance of making us look racist (again.) So, it behooves you to go over there and vote and let us know how you chose. The results will be announced tomorrow, so chop. chop.
