52 Weeks To Find Him: Help Neenah Pickett Find A Husband By 2010!
2 January 2009, 3:00 PM. By Alex Alvarez
Neenah Pickett is a 42-year-old woman searching for love. And, probably not unlike a lot of women, Neenah has a pretty specific goal in mind as she dates: To find a husband by 2010. And to think our resolution was a mere “stop farting in public.”
Although she has a very set goal in mind and a strict deadline looming over her dates, Neenah’s site, “52 Weeks To Find Him,” is also concerned with the whole process of dating - featuring interviews with her friends, steps Neenah sets up for herself and web episodes. Like, for instance, the one after the jump:
We have to wonder, though, what sort of impact this would have on the people Neenah attracts. Is a year, or less, enough time to get to know a person enough to not only love them, but to make a pledge to stick with them for life? Is a person attracted to the idea of setting the goal of marrying in one year’s time someone who is with you for you, or because they want very much to be married?
Neenah, for her part, realizes that her goal is a lofty one. She’s made it clear that, should she not find a husband by next New Year, she’ll take an entire year off from dating.
Have any of you set specific goals for when you’d like to get married? Do you ever find that the idea of marriage or a wedding overrides the process of finding someone whom you would actually want to marry?
We’re holding out until we find someone who reminds us of ourself, only slightly less hot and who is double-jointed.

I did the whole “be in a relationship b/c that’s what I want, not b/c I like you” and it ended badly.
I blame society for making it seem like we have to be in a romantic relationship in order to be fulfilled. I make myself complete. Finding a partner is just an added bonus.
@denise: *high five*
Neenah is going to find it after her deadline has come and gone. That’s how it always happens.
@Fredo: It’s true. I think we would all could use a little self esteem boost.
What she needs to do is listen to debbie deb.

Trust GOD in all that you do

Hi neenah ask your girlfriend to tell you the truth as to why you have not met the man who likes you.
