Antichrist Jose Luis De Jesus Miranda Loses Divorce Settlement Case Against Second Wife

Self-declared Antichrist Jose Luis de Jesus Miranda just lost a divorce case to his “gold-digging lesbian” second wife Josefina Torres. Now, he’ll have to cough up half the value of his business/”non-profit” church to the tune of about $2,000,000.

Jose Luis, who started the Miami-based Growing in Grace church, got famous for calling himself the Antichrist and for his followers’ tendency to get 666 tattoos. He actually says that he is the reincarnation of Christ - just not that lame Christ that all the other Christians talk about. Jose Luis is here to preach the gospel of Uncircumcision. And we wonder why Josefina wanted a divorce…

Jose Luis tried to argue that his Church was a “religious non-profit” and then, when that was ruled against, he tried to say that it wasn’t worth as much as previously estimated. There may be some truth to this since the messy divorce between Jose Luis and Josefina has caused some supporters to stop making donations to the church, especially after it came out that he was paying alimony to his first wife using church funds. Some “true believers,” however, are actually excited about the divorce scandal and his failure in court:

Many of his followers believe that De Jesus’ divorce court difficulties are further proof that he is Jesus’ Second Coming, quoting biblical prophecies of persecution such as Luke 17:25, which says “first, He must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.”

Jose Luis, besides believing himself to be the Son of God, also says that all other Christian teachings are false (coulda called that one) and that his special, New Testament-based gospel is the only true gospel. Tellingly, his gospel seems to be really preoccupied with “Uncircumcision,” rationalized by saying that this is what separates Christianity from Judaism. Clearly, whether or not you have a foreskin is the most important difference between the two religions. (For the record, we’ve never had one.)

In the meantime, Jose Luis’ daughter JoAnn is trying to convince the court that the Florida branch of the Church is being evicted from its property, and that Jose Luis himself is in danger of bankruptcy. Josefina’s lawyer refuses to accept that as the truth and maintains that if Jose Luis can’t pay up, he’ll have to hand over several of his properties to account for the settlement.
