Backstage And Front Row At Rio’s Fashion Week

 Rio’s Winter 2009 Fashion Week is underway, providing plenty of photo opportunities for beautiful beautiful to pose with their beautiful kids in beautiful clothes while on some beautiful pharmaceutical medications.

Rio de Janeiro’s Winter 2009 Fashion Week festivities includes such fun activities as posing in bathrobes for photographers, traipsing happily down a runway while being five years old and being a Hot Person. Looks like fun!

The weeks’ runway shows featured fashions for people of all ages, and attracted entire families of fashionistas to be voyeuristas. Designers participating in the event, which started on Monday, include Rio-based brand “Homem de Barro.” Another designer displaying this week, Giulia Borges, described her winter collection thusly:

I sought to bring out the best of the two worlds (cowboys and Indians) by using tailoring techniques, graphic patterns, and maintaining the brand’s identity, which are the ultra-feminine elements like large bows.

Sounds like Courtney Love waking up from a blackout in a costume shop.
